The beach of Fontane Bianche stands out for its white sand and the numerous fresh water springs that flow from the seabed. The beach is 10 kilometers from Syracuse and can be easily reached by car, bus or train.
Its waters are turquoise and transparent, thanks to the soft and white sand of the seabed that characterizes this little corner of Paradise. It is a small natural gulf that many define as a “corner of the Sicilian Caribbean”.
It is in fact dotted with two rock formations, one to the north and one to the south which almost seem to embrace this strip of beach, and enclose it in a small treasure.
But do you know why it’s called that?
It is said that along the north coast there were fountains where white water gushed, as well as numerous fresh water springs that flow on its seabed. The beach of Fontane Bianche, therefore, is a small jewel, chosen every summer by numerous visitors. Despite being small in size, less than two kilometers of beach, it has both a free beach and equipped establishments, including beaches, hotels and accommodation facilities that offer services for tourists and families.
